Olayinka Olanrewaju obtained an LL.B (with honours) from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom and has an LL.M (with Distinction) in Oil and Gas Law from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland; he since been admitted to practice law in Nigeria. He is a Ph.d (Candidate) in International Trade Law in the Aberystwyth University, Wales, United Kingdom.
Olayinka briefly joined the firm of Bowman Rodkin Litigation Solicitors, United Kingdom and later S.A. Onadele and Co, Nigeria where he rose to the position of a Senior Associate in charge of the firm’s conveyancing/corporate transactions. He is a partner and heads the Oil and Gas/ Energy Department of the Firm.
His diverse professional background and training in law, business and policy has given him an edge in advising stakeholders in Nigeria’s Maritime, Upstream and Downstream Petroleum Industry, Mergers & Acquisitions, Restructuring & insolvency, Corporate Finance and Securities, Corporate Governance and compliance as well as investors in Special Economic Zones.
He is an associate of the Ethics and Compliance Institute of Nigeria and Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, United Kingdom. He is also a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
